
About Philippe Jacquet
It is difficult to summarise
a professional's skills, training and accomplishments in just a few words, and
this is certainly true for the internationally trained and experienced
psychotherapists Philippe Jacquet. Whilst Mr. Jacquet is a psychotherapist he
is also fully trained and accredited as a counsellor, life coach,
interventionist and instructor for Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
Lifelong Education and
Training
Mr. Jacquet started working
with people in 1998 when he started his social worker training in Belgium.
Within just three years he had added to his education by completing a program
of study as an addiction counsellor at Hope-One Residential Treatment Centre,
also in Belgium.
He obtained his
International Diploma in Addiction Counselling from the world- renowned
Hazelden Foundation as well as receiving a Diploma in Counselling for Eating
Disorders and Addictions. He is has also completed a Diploma in Therapeutic and
Educational Application of the Arts from IATE (Institute for Arts in Therapy
and Education). He is trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing
or EMDR which is used in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder
(PTSD).
Mr. Jacquet holds an MA in
Adult Integrative Art Psychotherapy also from IATE and is fully voluntarily
accredited through HCPC, BAAT and UKCP. He has completed a foundation year in
Analytical Psychology at the Society of Analytical Psychology. He is involved
in an ongoing professional development through completing an infant observation
seminar.
Mr. Jacquet is also
qualified as a Certified Non-Violence Crisis Intervention Instructor and in the
same year also completed his crisis interventionist training. Following this he
completed training in the treatment of borderline personality disorders through
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and obtained a certificate in Hypnosis.
Professional Experiences
Mr. Jacquet has an amazing
and impressive list of accomplishments in working within the mental health
field. He has worked in Belgium to create a mediation program for adolescent
offenders that decreased the incidence of violence within the facility.
Throughout his career he has been responsible for management and supervision of
staff and volunteers and also for training programs within very prestigious private
clinics and public health facilities throughout the UK and Europe. He has been
asked to lead retreats on spirituality in the Sahara Desert as well as in Spain
and lived for two years in a Buddhist monastery, an experience that he
incorporates into all his trainings on spirituality. With over 25,000 hours in
working directly with clients in group or individual sessions Mr. Jacquet has
extensive experience both in private practice as well as in working for

television as an expert on the subject of eating disorders.
