Hypnotherapy Confidence
Your confidence can be improved through hypnotherapy
Building Hypnotherapy Confidence
Everyone has a personal, internal mental story or picture about who they are and what power, talents, skills, abilities and gifts that they possess. This mental story or picture about who we are is all part of our sense of self-confidence, which is also known as self-esteem. If you have a healthy level of self-confidence, or looking for a hypnotherapy confidence the mental story or picture is realistic, allowing you to understand what you are capable of and what challenges you can be successful in completing. Think of it as the “esteem” or value that you place on yourself and you understanding of your ability to complete a task, have a positive interpersonal relationship or to rise to a particular challenge in your life.
Hypnotherapy confidence, or self-confidence, can be accurate or it can be skewed or misaligned and not at all based on reality. Some people may have extreme levels of self-confidence, or self-efficacy, in an ability, talent or in their demeanour, even if they don’t actually have the necessary skills to successfully engage in the task or activity. These people typically come across as overbearing, presumptuous, arrogant or full of hot air but they seem impervious to their failure in the task even if it is blatant and obvious.
Self-Fulfilling Prophecy
On the other hand, many people are highly competent or have the skills, talents and gifts necessary to be successful but, because they have low self-confidence, do not feel comfortable with proceeding. Over time this low level of confidence turns into a self-fulfilling prophecy. Hypnotherapy confidence by the individual thinks they cannot perform the task or engage in the activity and mentally puts up obstacles to create this reality. When the task or activity is not done correctly it just reinforces their initial belief and continues a downward spiral of their confidence levels in themselves and their abilities.
The Development Of Confidence
Parents and family are critical to the development of a healthy confidence in oneself. When expectations for a child are reasonable and the child is accepted for themselves then a healthy hypnotherapy confidence develops. Children that are overly praised, over-protected and never challenged and never allowed to experience failure may develop excessive and unrealistic levels of self-confidence. Children that are always criticised or never given the opportunity to succeed because of unrealistically high expectations are more likely to develop low self-esteem, although they may be highly talented, able, educated and gifted.
Correcting Your Confidence Levels
Bringing your mental picture about yourself into a more realistic and accurate story is essential in becoming more confident in your daily life. This can be done through a variety of counselling strategies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as well as psychoanalysis to help pinpoint the areas of distortion in your picture of yourself.
Another very effective option for treatment that can be completed for most people in just a few sessions is the use of hypnotherapy confidence. Those negative images and thoughts that you have had placed in your subconscious about your abilities, talents and power can be replaced with realistic, accurate thoughts about your ability to do things in a positive and successful way across all aspects of your personal and professional life.
