What is ARFID?

Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) is an eating disorder characterised by highly restricted food intake not driven by concerns about weight or body image. The restriction is rooted in sensory sensitivity, fear of adverse consequences from eating, or a general lack of interest in food.

What is Orthorexia?

Orthorexia nervosa is an eating disorder characterised by an obsessive focus on the purity or quality of food rather than its quantity. The restriction is just as absolute as anorexia — but because it is dressed in the language of health, it is rarely named as a disorder.
