Therapy in Central London

The Central London practice offers the same clinical work as the Harley Street rooms, in a location many people find easier to reach during a working week. The credentials are the same, the depth is the same, and the range is the same: integrative and Jungian psychotherapy, EMDR, clinical hypnotherapy, art therapy, eating disorder treatment, addiction counselling, couples work and executive coaching. Some clients see Dr Jacquet here rather than at Harley Street, while others move between the two depending on where they happen to be that week. The quality of the work does not change with the address.

What is available

The Central London practice brings together the full range of the practice’s disciplines. There is integrative psychotherapy and Jungian analysis for the whole spectrum of adult difficulty, from anxiety and depression to the questions of meaning, identity and direction that are harder to name. There is EMDR for trauma, drawing on more than twenty years of practice, and clinical hypnotherapy used within psychotherapy rather than as a quick fix. There is specialist eating disorder treatment, including particular expertise in male eating disorders, and addiction counselling informed by training at Hazelden and Hope-One. There is couples therapy, and executive coaching that brings depth psychology to questions of leadership, performance and transition.

Who it is for

People come to Central London for the same reasons they come to any good practice: because something has become difficult enough that carrying it alone no longer works. That might be a long-running pattern of anxiety, a relationship under strain, a loss that was never fully grieved, an addiction, or simply a sense that life has lost its shape. The work suits adults at any stage, whether they have been in therapy before or are starting for the first time.

Online therapy

Online therapy is available and is equally effective for most presentations. Many clients work this way throughout their therapy, whether for reasons of geography, schedule or preference. Online sessions follow the same format and length as work in the room, and the therapeutic relationship is no less real for being held over a screen.

Getting started

The first step is an initial consultation, a conversation in which you can talk about what has brought you here and decide whether to continue. There is no obligation, and everything said is held in complete confidence.
