Fees and Terms — Harley Street Psychotherapy

Harley Street has been the address of specialist private medicine in London for over a century. The practice of Philippe Jacquet & Associates operates within that tradition — offering depth psychotherapy, Jungian analysis, EMDR, and specialist clinical work from consulting rooms on Harley Street W1. For many clients, the address matters less than what it represents: clinical work conducted seriously, privately, and without the delays or constraints of institutional settings.

This page sets out the practical arrangements for working at the Harley Street practice. Questions that are not answered here are best raised at the initial consultation.

The Initial Consultation

The initial consultation is a fifty-minute session at Harley Street. Its purpose is twofold: to give you the opportunity to speak about what has brought you here and to sense whether this is the right place to continue; and to give Dr Jacquet the information needed to understand your situation and recommend the most appropriate form of work. There is no obligation to continue after the initial consultation, and nothing is assumed from attending.

Fees

Session fees reflect the specialist nature of the work — particularly the depth of clinical experience in eating disorders, addiction, EMDR, and Jungian analysis — and are discussed directly at the initial consultation. Sessions are fifty minutes in length. Payment is due at the end of each session by bank transfer or major credit and debit card. Receipts are provided and may be submitted to insurers, though the practice does not bill directly to insurance providers.

Frequency

Weekly sessions are the standard and recommended frequency. For those undertaking Jungian analysis or more intensive psychotherapeutic work, twice-weekly sessions are available and sometimes preferable. The appropriate frequency is discussed at assessment. The consistency of the therapeutic frame — the same time, the same place, week after week — is not a formality; it is part of how the work functions.

Cancellation Policy

Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice are charged at the full session fee. The therapeutic hour is reserved exclusively for you; it cannot be reallocated at short notice, and the reliability of the frame is integral to the clinical work. Genuine emergencies are handled on their own terms, discussed in the moment.

Availability

This is a private practice with no waiting list. Following the initial consultation, regular sessions typically begin within one to two weeks. Early morning and evening appointments are available to accommodate professional and commuting schedules.
