Working together for continuity of care

Dr Philippe Jacquet works alongside GPs, psychiatrists, therapists and professional advisers to support the people in their care. Where someone needs depth psychotherapy, Jungian analysis, EMDR, or specialist help with addiction or an eating disorder, a considered referral to the right practitioner can be the difference between a stalled situation and real movement.

The aim is always continuity of care: the client is supported, the referring professional is kept informed where appropriate and with the client’s consent, and the work is coordinated rather than fragmented.

When to refer

Referrals are welcome where Dr Jacquet’s experience fits the need:

  • Male eating disorders, a doctoral specialism that is rare in Europe
  • Addiction and recovery, including high-functioning presentations. Hazelden-trained, and supervisor of the clinical teams at PROMIS Recovery Centre and Cardinal Clinic
  • Trauma and EMDR, with over twenty years of practice
  • Jungian analysis and midlife transition
  • Executives and high-performing professionals, and confidential work for public figures
  • French-speaking and international clients, online worldwide or in person at Harley Street

How the collaboration works

The work is one to one and confidential. With the client’s consent, Dr Jacquet will liaise with the referring GP, psychiatrist or therapist to support coordinated care, and will always be clear about fit, including when he is not the right person and another route would serve the client better.

A long background in clinical supervision means referrers can expect considered, professional communication from a practitioner used to working within a wider system of care.

Collaboration, not commission

This matters, so it is said plainly. Dr Jacquet does not pay or accept referral fees, commissions or kickbacks of any kind. Referrals flow in both directions on one basis only: what is right for the client. Believing in collaboration for the continuity of care is not the same as buying or selling referrals, and that distinction is deliberate.

Professional standards and ethics

Dr Jacquet practises in accordance with the codes of ethics of the UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) and the IAAP (International Association for Analytical Psychology), and is registered with the HCPC. Referrers can expect work that is accountable, boundaried and held to recognised professional standards.
