Philippe Jacquet & Associates is a founder-led private practice. Clients may be seen by Dr Jacquet, or, where it is appropriate, by an Associate working under his clinical supervision and within the approach described across this site.
Each Associate brings their own training, their own registration and their own specialisms. Some have decades of clinical practice behind them. One is completing his psychotherapy training and holds trainee registration, which is stated plainly on his profile rather than left for you to discover. You will always know who you are seeing and what they hold.
Every Associate is in regular clinical supervision with Dr Jacquet, and the practice takes collective responsibility for the standard of the work.

Addiction, eating disorders, trauma, grief and loss. More than forty years of practice, in inpatient settings, day care and private practice.
Read more about Catherine
Catherine has more than forty years of personal and professional experience working with addiction and eating disorders. She specialises in trauma, and in grief and loss, both where these relate to addiction and where they arrive from the rest of a life.
Her training runs deep and has never stopped. A diploma in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. A postgraduate diploma in Addiction Studies from London South Bank University. A four year pluralistic psychoanalytical psychotherapy training leading to membership of the Guild of Psychotherapists. She continues in regular postgraduate training and development.
She has worked in inpatient settings, in day care and in private practice, which is a combination that matters. It means she knows what residential treatment can do and where it stops being the right answer.
Catherine lived and worked in Spain for five years. Her practice is now primarily online, with some consulting in London, Norfolk, New York and other international destinations, so she is genuinely available to clients wherever they are.
She consults regularly with other members of the profession, and is particularly drawn to the work and practice of Carl Jung.
Registration can be verified through the UKCP register and the Guild of Psychotherapists.
Niall O’Sullivan
BACP registered Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, MSc.
Bereavement, addiction, relationship breakdown, and long-standing patterns that have stopped serving.
Read more about Niall
My name is Niall and I am a BACP registered psychodynamic psychotherapist, offering a safe and thoughtful space for you to explore your inner life and external challenges, whatever they may be.
My approach is built on the understanding that all of us carry hidden wounds, whether they be from childhood experiences, family dynamics, later losses, or any of life's other frustrations. We often develop strategies to "treat" these wounds. Some may turn to alcohol or other substances, others may channel anxieties into work or relationships, while others simply shut down and disconnect from their emotional world.
If you are reading this, it may be because strategies like these are no longer serving you. You might be facing an external crisis, such as a bereavement, addiction or the breakdown of a relationship. You may simply feel tired of, or trapped by, long-standing patterns, structures and dynamics that are preventing you from living fully.
Moments when we feel on the verge of "breaking down" are, in fact, powerful opportunities to uncover, examine and reform our relationships with ourselves. As your psychotherapist, my goal is to support you in understanding and integrating your past experiences with your current self, while also exploring possibilities for your future. I believe this work goes beyond merely making the present bearable. It can allow us to find meaning and beauty even in those most tender and painful parts of us.

My approach is existential and integrative. A big part of what I do is help people find a way to organise and find meaning in their experience of living. I see the person sitting in front of me not as a set of symptoms to manage, but as someone trying to make sense of their life.
I work with individuals and couples around identity, addiction, neurodiversity, life transitions, communication, and complex relationship dynamics, including infidelity and the fallout from trauma that may exist within the relational dynamic itself.
My starting point is to try to locate myself in your world: to listen, to get inside your story, to see your experiences according to your point of view. What guides the work from there is the unfolding story in the room, and the developing relationship we build together.
I take an active role in sessions, asking questions and sometimes offering challenges to help you see things from new perspectives, or to unearth questions not yet asked. When suitable, I incorporate other psychological modalities, always from the position of what suits the work and the clients in the room.
Training and registration can be verified through the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy and the UKCP.
